Webinar: The Future of Volunteering

The profile, uptake and even the nature of volunteering has shifted, in some ways dramatically, since the start of the pandemic. We have seen over 10 million people volunteering in their communities during the pandemic, many of them for the first time. Depending on what we do next, this could be a one-off, freak event, or the start of something new and incredibly powerful.
The challenge and complexity of engaging, deploying and retaining that tidal wave of interest will only increase, as some people return to work while others lose their jobs, and our health systems, inequalities, and social safety-nets, all come under increasing sustained pressure in the economic aftermath of Covid-19.
With that future context, the role of volunteering has never been more critical. So, what have we learned? What could the future of volunteering look like in this changing landscape? And how can we adapt our organisations to help our people meet these new and rapidly growing challenges?
