STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:
The best strategies are continually developed, refined and communicated throughout an organisation. However, where market and consumer landscapes change rapidly, organisations can benefit from an objective re-appraisal of their strategies and the effectiveness and appropriateness of their strategic programmes.
We take a customised approach, working closely with various levels in the organisation. We use facilitated workshops to clarify your mission, values and key objectives, which will set the framework for the strategy and form the basis for communication and engagement. We bring together industry dynamics, consumer and market trends, and business analysis to develop a deep insight into the drivers of your performance and the relative strength of your portfolio. This helps us to identify the highest value opportunities, most critical issues, and key levers for creating a sustainable competitive advantage. We then work with you to model scenarios and develop strategic plans.
STRATEGIC PLANNING:
Strategic planning aligns the activity and investment within the organisation to enable delivery of the strategy. The objective is a series of value-creating steps that will take us from where we are, to where we want to be. We customise the process according to the organisation, but it will always include the definition of a balanced set of measures and KPIs, identification of risks, and an objective evaluation of opportunities, capabilities, options and alternatives.
The planning process should take no more than three months. Typical outputs include:
· A three-year financial forecast
· A prioritised strategic agenda with decision points, milestones and deliverables
· Tools for tracking and managing delivery of the agenda and mitigating key risks
· Engagement materials and processes
· Mechanisms for aligning and incentivising individual and team performance
STRATEGIC PROGRAMMES:
Transformational strategies require clear audacious goals, pinpoint accountabilities and investment in resource. Often the best way to deliver a transformational change is through one or more strategic change programmes. As part of the strategic planning process we work closely with you to define, scope and evaluate the required programmes, with a focus on communication and engagement, so programmes become integral to, rather than divorced from, the core operation. Where specific programme management skills or methodologies aren’t in place, we provide support, coaching, tools and resource as necessary.
